Fish Feed Plant Control System Modernization

A leading fish feed manufacturer engaged us to replace their obsolete control system originally installed in 2001. The aging MODICON Quantum controllers posed increasing operational risks and limited production capabilities as parts and support became scarce.

Our team executed a comprehensive migration to Siemens S7-1500 controllers, implementing necessary modifications to integrate with the existing PcVue SCADA system—a platform we exclusively represent in Israel. The modernization delivered improved reliability and expanded functionality while maintaining all critical process parameters with minimal production disruption.

The control system:

  • Siemens S7-1500 PLC with 3 remote I/O racks
  • Total PLC includes around 600 I/O
  • Communication to external weighing system over MODBUS and instrumentation over ProfiNet

Project scope:

  • Programming of the new PLC
  • SCADA version upgrade and application adjustments
  • Remove of the old PLC and install of the new PLC in the existing electrical cabinets

Automated Jerrican Palletizing System

A leading plastics manufacturer sought to modernize their outdated jerrican palletizing system with advanced automation technology. The legacy system relied on basic mechanical movements and an aging VIPA controller that limited production efficiency and integration capabilities.

Our comprehensive solution replaced the original system with a rail-mounted ABB robot and modern conveyor network controlled by a Siemens S7-1500 PLC. We upgraded from ProfiBus to ProfiNet communications, implemented direct MES integration for automated order processing, and deployed both a central Siemens WinCC Professional SCADA system and distributed HMI terminals throughout the facility.

The control system:

  • Siemens S7-1500 PLC with 8 remote I/O racks
  • Total PLC includes around 1,200 I/O
  • Additional Siemens S7-1200 safety PLC
  • Communication to external banding, wrapping and other machines installed in the line

A leading healthcare safety equipment manufacturer partnered with us to develop a control system for their custom-designed laser welding machine for medical syringe components. Working collaboratively during the mechanical design phase, we engineered the complete electrical and control architecture.

Our comprehensive solution included a Siemens S7-1500 Safety PLC, custom SCADA interface, and full electrical cabinet design. We managed the entire implementation from initial system design through installation, wiring, and commissioning—delivering a turnkey system that seamlessly transitioned to production.

Our solution featured Siemens S7-1200 PLCs with custom programming and a comprehensive WinCC SCADA system fully compliant with FDA GMP regulations under 21 CFR Part 11. We developed numerous application-specific control programs with robust communication interfaces to associated equipment and FAB manufacturing execution systems.
